Finago appoints Jarkko Iitiä as Managing Director for Finland to lead its AI-driven growth

Finago has appointed Jarkko Iitiä as Managing Director for Finland, effective 1 November 2026. With his extensive leadership experience and strong visionary mindset, Iitiä joins Finago to bring the company closer to its local customers and to accelerate Finago’s AI-driven growth.

Iitiä has more than ten years of experience in the Finnish financial management software market. At Visma Netvisor he led sales and Products and Markets business unit as well as built Visma Solutions Oy’s accounting office channel. Most recently he was the CEO of accounting office Tonava Group Oy. At Finago, he will lead the Finnish business as AI changes how accounting offices and finance and HR teams work, with a clear brief: bring Finago closer to its Finnish customers and accelerate AI-driven growth. He reports to Group CEO Lars Engbork and joins Finago’s group leadership team.

“Jarkko knows the Finnish market from both sides of the table: he has been part of building software for accounting offices, and he has run one. He knows where the industry is heading and how we can best support our customers and accounting offices, and he has turned that into growth with partners before. That is exactly what we need in Finland now,” says Engbork.

Iitiä’s priorities in Finland are clear: first and foremost, he wants Finago to lead the way in introducing AI to accounting offices and businesses in a way that is sustainable for both people and businesses. Iitiä believes effective leadership starts with ensuring that people understand why their work matters. He emphasizes ownership, open dialogue and clear, measurable goals. For him, growth and staying at the forefront of the industry go hand in hand, with product development driven by close collaboration with customers and partners.

“The financial management industry is going through its third major disruption. Moving from paper to electronic took about ten years, and process automation, ecosystem and better usability another ten. With AI, more will change in the next few years than in the past twenty. I want to be part of shaping that change, and I believe Finago has the right approach: AI should give people better tools, not push them aside,” says Iitiä.

For Finago, accounting offices are, and will continue to be, the most important partners now and in the future, and Finago develops its solutions in close collaboration with them. However, its solutions serve several types of users, including finance and HR professionals in companies as well as small and medium-sized business leaders who collaborate with an accountant. Finago integrates AI into the tools that company users and accountants use every day, embedding agents and skills directly into the software. This helps accounting offices deliver better, more efficient services while expanding their role into advisory work for their clients.
